Safety Protocols

The Center for Glaucoma & Cataract Care is open and seeing patients. However, it is important to know that we are taking additional measures to ensure that our office is a safe place to provide and receive care. As part of our safety protocols we are following the guidelines and recommendations of national medical organizations and will:

  • Pre-screen all patients over the phone prior to confirming appointments to determine whether they are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms (fever, shortness of breath, cough, sore throat, or other acute respiratory symptoms) or have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19.

  • Require the use of masks per hospital policy for all individuals in the clinic.

  • Limit the number of people in the office by restricting one individual to accompany a patient if he/she requires assistance.

  • Ask patients and personnel to use hand sanitizer when entering the office.

  • Sanitize exam rooms and equipment between patients. Our provider will also take appropriate measures to ensure patient safety including strict hand hygiene.
